Toronto Western General Hospital is conducting a clinical research study to test a new drug for Cervical Dystonia (abnormal spasms in the neck).

The drug is currently approved for use in the USA and Canada for treating epilepsy. The purpose of this study is to test the safety and benefit in treating the symptoms of cervical dystonia.

All participants receive the active drug.

October 23, 2017:   The Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) Canada, in partnership with Allergan Canada, is pleased to announce the launch of the first-ever clinical fellowship for movement disorders, with a specialty in dystonia.
