By request from our group members, we have invited Mady Mooney back to lead us in an art therapy activity. Group members very much enjoyed the art exploration when we did it in the past.
"Mady Mooney has a masters in Psychotherapy & Spirituality with a specialization in art therapy from St. Stephen’s at the U of A in Edmonton. She works as an art therapist in private practice in Vancouver and has facilitated art workshops in Canada and Europe over the last ten years. She teaches you how to get in touch with your feelings by expressing them on canvas through intuitive and abstract art.
During our mini-workshop on Saturday, you will create a small piece of intuitive art about a topic that will be of importance to you. Mady will lead you through an exercise that combines collage and drawing/coloring and you need NO artistic skills for this, just bring an open mind and an intention to quietly listen to your deeper self. People typically express a lighter sense of being, relaxation, or at times receive insights about themselves when creating art in this way."
After the art activity, we can have Lunch: Boston Pizza menu. (Vegan and gluten-free options available) Each person is responsible for their own lunch bill. Please note: If you would like to have lunch there will be a 15 percent gratuity automatic on individual bills. Both the lunch and the art activity are by choice. Members are also welcome to just come and visit. This will be a good opportunity to chat and get to know group members.
