UofT’s presentation explores the use of Neurologic Music Therapy in Dystonia (NMT) — a movement disorder characterized by involuntary muscle contractions. By using various components of music such as rhythm and auditory-motor coupling, NMT offers innovative ways to improve motor control and quality of life for individuals with dystonia. The presentation will showcase UofT’s clinical applications, therapeutic techniques, and research findings.
