New memoir published by Cheri Tannenbaum, the daughter of DMRF Canada founders Samuel and Fran Belzberg

Cheri Tannenbaum, daughter of DMRF Canada Founders Samuel and Fran Belzberg, has published a memoir, Woman of Few Words: My Creative Journey With Dystonia. Cheri is sharing her philosophy on how to be a functioning, fulfilled individual despite daunting challenges.

DMRF is grateful to Cheri for sharing her story to increase awareness of dystonia and offer validation and understanding to others in the dystonia community. The book is available for purchase here.

Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder that causes excessive, uncontrollable muscle spasms. The muscle spasms twist the body and limbs into involuntary movements and awkward postures. Estimates suggest 50,000 Canadians are affected. Although treatment options exist, there is not yet a cure.
