The DMRF research efforts have amassed a wealth of data, across multiple scientific disciplines, which together are creating a layered and sophisticated understanding of dystonia.
Nearly 45 years ago, the DMRF began the ambitious mission to find a dystonia cure. Since that time, the DMRF has provided funding to 270+ investigators and has grown the field from a handful of dedicated experts to a global network of investigators striving every day to develop new therapies and improve the lives of individuals and families impacted by all forms of the disorder.
A newly published report, “Untangling the Complexity of Dystonia: 40+ Years of Research Achievements," summarizes some of the most important research highlights from the DMRF’s science program. Countless lives have been changed for the better because of the vibrant research field this report describes.
DMRF Canada thanks all donors for their contributions in helping to find a cure and for your confidence in the scientific process to deliver the breakthroughs we are fighting for every day.
