A study involving transmagnetic stimulation (TMS) is being led by DMRF Clinical Fellow Dr. Noreen-Bukhari-Parlakturk. TMS is a noninvasive device to stimulate the brain. The goal of the study is to develop a therapy for writer's cramp dystonia and develop an understanding of the disease mechanism.
Researchers at Duke University are recruiting patients with writer's cramp dystonia or healthy volunteers who are interested in being part of the study.
Study Details
* The study will be conducted at Duke Movement Disorder Clinic in Durham, NC
* The study visit may last up to 3 hours; 1-4 visits may be done
* You will be compensated up to $100 USD for your time
* There is no payment required to partake in the study
* Note: for Canadians there is no reimbursement provided for the traveling fee.
