Toronto Event Details - June 25, 2023 - Freedom To Move: Run, Walk and Wheel for Dystonia

We’re looking forward to seeing you at this year’s event!

Location:

Downsview Park - 70 Canuck Ave, North York, ON M3K2C5 (corner of Sheppard West Ave and Keele St.). Click here to view a map. 
 

Event Day Timeline:

9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Check-In / Registration

10:30 a.m. Opening Ceremony

11:00 a.m.  Race Starts

12:00 p.m. Closing Ceremony 
 

Registration and Check-In:

If you’ve signed up in advance of the event day (this is highly recommended), please proceed to the “Already Registered” booth to pick up your Race Kit. If you haven’t registered in advance, please proceed to the “Registration” booth to sign up for the event. A note that day-of-event registration will be $35.00 for adults and $20.00 for children 13 and under. 
 

Getting To Downsview Park

1. By Subway. (Note the TTC subway opens at 8:00 am on Sundays)

Please get off at Downsview Park Station (IT's on Line 1). It will be around a 10-minute walk from the subway station to the Park. Click here to view a map. There are also 2 TTC bus Routes that run from Downsview Park Subway Station to the corner of Sheppard and Keele. Take either the 84 Bus or the 108 Bus and make sure to get off at Sheppard and Keele. From there, it is only a 2 min walk to 70 Canuck Ave. You can use https://www.ttc.ca/en/trip-planner to help plan your bus route from Downsview Park Subway Station to 70 Canuck Ave.

2. By Road 

There are 3 parking lots very close to the site with free parking available. There is a 4th parking lot available as well which is a 7-minute walk to the event site. It is located north of 70 Canuck Ave and will also feature free parking. Please click here to view a map.

3. Wheel Trans

For Wheel Trans, please use the following for a drop-off/pick up at 70 Canuck Ave: DVP-DC – Downsview Park – Discovery Centre – 70 Canuck Avenue – At the Discovery Centre Parking Lots – 

Aid and Food Stations 

There will be an Aid Station and a Food and Water Station at the event site and an additional water station at the half-way mark. Kindly help reduce waste and bring a refillable water bottle.

Information for Volunteers 

Volunteers are kindly requested to:

- Wear weather-appropriate attire and comfortable shoes

- Bring a hat and water bottle

- Have a phone


You will be provided with: 

- Station Materials 

- Refreshments
