Invitation to Participate in Social Entrepreneurship Training!
The Thompson Rivers University Innovation for Social Good cluster is inviting participants to engage with social enterprise training as part of the study: People with Disabilities as Social Enterprise Enablers. The purpose of this research is to learn about how people with diverse abilities might benefit from being involved in social enterprise creation, while raising awareness of the opportunities.
A social enterprise is a hybrid organization that exists to create social or environmental value, like a traditional non-profit, but uses a commercial business model, like a traditional for-profit to fund the social mission.
The main goal of the social entrepreneurship training is to create awareness regarding social entrepreneurship opportunities for persons with disabilities. Participants willing to engage in the social entrepreneurship training will go through an online and self-paced training program to learn about developing social enterprises.
Participation in the training is not a requirement for joining the research study.
Eligibility:

- 18 years or older.
